What's in a name?

According to my Apple dictionary, admittedly not a definitive source, a ‘consideration’ is a thought, reflection, meditation, concern, rumination etc. I would like this blog to do those things. I’m hoping I can keep the posts positive because, as someone once reminded me, it is important to practise the habits of mind that you value and want to foster. For me those are: positivity, curiosity, openness and self-reflection (hence, a blog is a good forum).

Also, I’m calling them 'small' because I would like to try to get into the habit of blogging briefly but often. That way I can reflect on everyday occurrences and make this form of writing and thinking a habit, hopefully.

Thanks to Saint Jerome and King Ashurbanipal of Assyria

I'm feeling grateful today for libraries. I went to my city library on my way home from work last night and now I enter the long weekend with books aplenty. They say you get more satisfaction out of planning a trip, than going away on it. It might be the same with having a stack of books by the bed. I'm only halfway through my current book, but it's going quite quickly. Now I know that as soon as I'm done I can start another one, without resorting to something from our limited shelf. I see the small tower of library books sitting there and wonder what they're going to be about, if they're going to be good and what I will learn from each one. I won't spend the whole weekend reading, but I could if I wanted to!
